About Simon Koy: Simon Koy (*1979) studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Design, specializing in photography in Munich (practical semester in Amsterdam). He photographed his diploma in China with the theme “new china amusment”, which was published in many magazines. Since 2006, he has been photographing for various magazines, agencies, and institutions worldwide, focusing on portraits and reportage. In 2010 and 2014, Simon Koy took photo trips worldwide and worked for many magazines. This resulted in many typological series and photo books, which are his passion. Simon Koy has been traveling to Ukraine regularly since 2011. Photo exhibitions of his work have been taking place at regular intervals since 2006.
