About Markus Burke: Markus Burke (*1978) has been working internationally as a freelance photographer since 2007, focusing on “narrative portrait and object photography”. In addition to his long-standing collaboration with magazines such as Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, Vogue, Monopol, GQ, Stern, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, etc., he also works with cultural institutions such as the Residenztheater Munich, the Bavarian State Opera, the Festspielhaus Baden Baden and organizations such as Greenpeace. In addition, he regularly develops his own independent photographic series and publication projects, sometimes in cooperation with other artists/cultural professionals, or participates in exhibitions that deal with contemporary photography.
