About Verena Kathrein: Verena Kathrein (*1983) was born in Innsbruck and studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. On the one hand, she works as a commissioned photographer in the portrait and reportage sector, and on the other hand, she pursues freelance work. She has collaborated with artists, most recently with Karin Schneider for the film Milchhof. In 2019 and 2021, she was part of the curatorial and organizational team of Fotodoks – Festival for Contemporary Documentary Photography, which takes place every two years in Munich. In 2022, she was nominated for the City of Munich Award.
