About Roderick Aichinger: Roderick Aichinger was born in Switzerland to Scottish-Austrian parents. He grew up on the tranquil shores of Lake Constance and only excelled in design classes at grammar school. After attending art courses at the รcole de Beaux Arts in Paris, he studied architecture at ETH Zurich and then photography in Munich. When he moved to Hamburg in 2008, he began photographing extensive stories for the then-new London-based magazine Monocle. This led to his work with international publications such as the NY Times, Telegraph Magazine, GQ, etc. After a five-year stay in New York City from 2012 to 2017, he now lives in Munich, Germany.
