Im Jahr 2020 wurde ich von einem internationalen Magazin beauftragt, einen Top-Ten-Tennisspieler im ber\u00fchmten Monte Carlo Country Club zu fotografieren. Ein Traum f\u00fcr mich als Tennisenthusiast. Ich verbrachte den ganzen Tag an diesem prestigetr\u00e4chtigen Ort, an dem einst alle Legenden des Sports trainiert hatten. Auf dem Weg von Monaco zur\u00fcck zum Flughafen in Nizza hatte ich noch ein paar Bilder auf meinem Mittelformatfilm \u00fcbrig und nahm dieses Bild in der Abendd\u00e4mmerung auf. F\u00fcr mich wirkt es fast wie eine Neuinterpretation eines Gem\u00e4ldes von Caspar David Friedrich, das die Erhabenheit der Natur in Verbindung mit einem \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigenden Gef\u00fchl der Melancholie vermittelt.
